Loves Kindergarten - except for the getting-ready-for-school part; Is constantly singing, humming or whistling; Learning to read; Happy playing with his brothers; Adores his "mom-sisters" who let him get away with a lot more than his mom does.

Plays as much football, baseball and basketball as he possibly can; Ran his first 5K in under 28 minutes; Leads his 2nd grade class in Accelerated Reader points; Brings home amazing artwork; Looking forward to his baptism in February.

Enjoys middle school - especially his daily PE and drama classes; Ran a 22 1/2 minute 5K and is working on getting his mile under 7 minutes; Played on his baseball league's all-star team in the spring; Loves his role as family comedian... Maybe a little bit too much.

Sings bass in the mixed choir at school; Has grown 5 inches this year; Senior Patrol leader for his Boy Scout troop; Learned to edit photos and video in his multi-media class; Is ready for high school next year; Hopes to be over 6' tall soon.

Has completed her drivers ed course and is counting down the days until her 16th birthday in July; Member of the high school varsity choir; Loves county music, cowgirl boots, Nutella, summer and painted toenails; Looking forward to being the oldest child at home next year.

Is having a fantastic senior year; Member of 2011 All-State Choir (and on her way for a 2012 repeat); Choir president; Homecoming queen nominee; Loves having her drivers license and a third family car; South Pacific cast member; Hoping to major in music at BYU next year.

Had a busy and exciting year in his role as a project manager at Parkway Construction; Fulfilled a dream by taking the family to visit his mission field in Wisconsin following a memorable few days in historic Nauvoo, Illinois; Was thrilled for the Texas Rangers to go to the World Series for the second year in a row but was devastated to see them lose after twice coming within one strike of winning the series.

Adjusting to life with all six kids in school full time; Celebrated her 40th birthday with a fun weekend in San Antonio with Erik; Recently participated in a fitness boot camp and continues to enjoy early morning workouts with a friend; Loves having a third driver in the family, her monthly book club (our 10th year together), new recipes, dates with Erik and motherhood.

We are thankful for our wonderful, supportive families and many good friends. We love this season and the reminder of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ;

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and blessed 2012!

Love this! Can I hire you to do mine next year? This is what I always dream of it looking like, and yet here I am on Dec 23rd trying to upload a picture to Walmart 1 hr photo :) Glad we could share some memories this year (Nauvoo, Marcus Choir) and hope to get to know your family better in the years to come!
By the way- Amanda really hit it out of the park with her talk at Stake Conference. It came across sincere and REAL. Great Girl!
